For produce wholesalers & distributors
Thirty days. A dollar figure on every leak.
The Money Map is a 30-day assessment. We connect read-only to the ERP you already run, trace where margin is leaking, and hand you the leaks ranked by dollar impact, in the order we'd fix them.

$1.8M
The first Money Map at Pinto Brothers, a $70M Philadelphia produce distributor, put the number at $1.8 million a year.
“When Datajolt showed us the $1.8 million number, it changed how we thought about the entire operation.”
Alex Penza, Pinto Brothers ProduceEvery produce business leaks in the same four places.
The Money Map measures yours. Here's exactly what we look for in each one.
We dumped pallets again last week and ate it like always.
Aging inventory and dump
What we look for
Every lot's days-on-hand against what actually happens to product that age. Which buys were speculative. Where product sat past its window before anyone flagged it. What got dumped that could have moved at a discount three days earlier, when there was still money in it.
Once aging was visible daily, Pinto Brothers cut inventory waste by 40%.
We're selling more than ever. The bank account hasn't noticed.
Margin decay
What we look for
Margin by customer, by commodity, over time. The accounts whose price never moved when the market did. Freight creep. The customers everyone assumes are profitable, checked against what they actually pay you to serve them.
At A. Marinelli & Sons, a fourth-generation distributor, the map showed half the products they carried weren't earning their place.“We'd built the catalog over 60 years, but we'd never really asked which products were earning their place.” Andrew Marinelli
They didn't leave. They just started giving somebody else a little more each week.
Quiet accounts
What we look for
Every account's order frequency and volume against its own baseline. The gap between the last order and their normal rhythm. Which drops are seasonal and which are drift. The goal is catching it in week two, not month two.
Same case, two reps, two different prices. In the same morning.
Inconsistent selling
What we look for
Price variance across reps on identical product, same day. Who quotes from the sheet and who quotes from memory. Margin per rep on the same commodities. And how much of your pricing lives in one veteran's head, because someday it walks out the door with him.
Four different leaks, one assessment. Each one gets a dollar figure, ranked against the others.
What you're holding on day thirty.
The ranked list
Every leak with a dollar figure attached and the math behind it. Numbers you can hand to your team without anyone arguing about opinions.
The why
Each leak traced to the process or habit causing it. Nobody gets blamed. The product rots either way; the question is what lets it.
Working tools
The aging alerts, account flags, and dashboards we used to find your leaks, configured and running in your operation. Not a recommendations deck.
The platform underneathThe plan
What to fix first, who owns it, and what each step is worth, so the map turns into moved numbers instead of a binder on a shelf.
How the month goes.
Week 1
Connect
Read-only access to your ERP and sales data. We handle setup. Nothing to install, nothing migrates, your team keeps working like normal.
Weeks 2 and 3
Analysis
We trace the four leaks through your numbers, lot by lot, account by account. This is where your five hours go: questions only you can answer.
Week 4
Delivery
We sit down and walk the map together. Each leak, its dollar figure, its cause, and the order we'd fix them in. What you do with it is your call.
It's not for everyone.
If you're doing under $10M, the Money Map is probably ahead of where you are. If you want a report to file rather than an operation to change, we're the wrong call. And if margins are tight because of weather or the market, no assessment fixes that. We find the leaks you can actually plug.
“I don't have the time for another software project.”
It isn't one. We connect read-only to the ERP you already run, we do the setup, and the whole month costs you about five hours. Your operation doesn't change until you've seen the numbers and decided it should.
“You don't know produce.”
The Money Map runs live at Pinto Brothers and at John Vena Inc., a Philadelphia produce name over 100 years old. It plugs into the ERP you already run. We talk in lots, loads, and dump rate, because that's what your data talks in.
“How do I know you'll find anything?”
We name the four leaks before we start, and we've never opened a produce operation's books without finding at least one of them. Pinto's map came to $1.8 million. Yours may be smaller. It won't be zero, and you'll see the math either way.
“Is this just consultants with dashboards?”
The dashboards arrive configured and running, not as recommendations. And the map is a beginning, not the deliverable: most owners take it into the Profit System, where we review the numbers with you on a cadence and stay on it until they move.
“Can't my controller pull this from the ERP?”
Quite a bit of it, if he has the time. The ERP records everything; that's what it's for. What it doesn't do is tell you which of it is costing you money, and nobody's morning has room to trace four leak patterns across every lot and account. The Money Map does the tracing, puts a dollar figure on what it finds, and leaves behind alerts that keep watching after the month ends.
“What do you actually need from us?”
Read-only data access in week one, and about five hours of your time across the month. That's the whole list.
“What happens after the thirty days?”
You'll have the map, the tools, and the plan either way. Whether we fix the leaks together is a separate decision, and you make it after you've seen the numbers, not before.
You see the dollar figure before you commit to anything bigger. That's the whole point of starting here.
If we don't find it, you don't pay.
It's in writing.
Start with the number.
Thirty days from now you can know where the money's going. Or you can keep feeling it and not seeing it.
